As the movie was going to be released, The Warner Brothers movie studio has revealed four posters exclusively illustrated by Masami Kurumada, the creator of the Saint Seiya fantasy action manga for Louis Leterrier's 2010 remake of the Clash of the Titans film.
This set of posters began appearing in train and subway stations in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Sapporo, and Fukuoka these two weeks as a promotional method to blend into the country's culture. (The film will open in Japan on April 23.)
Besides of publicly displaying them, the poster arts will also appear in special pamphlets in theaters throughout Japan as well as in Shueisha's Super Jump and Young Jump magazines on Wednesday and Thursday.
During an interview at his film's March 29 world premiere in London, the French native Leterrier revealed that he is a big Saint Seiya fan, he has been watching the show during his younger years. He specifically stated the armor that the gods wear in his film remake as a sign of homage and respect to Saint Seiya. However, it is important to mention that both works are heavily inspired by Greek mythology.
