Fan-Made Anime-Inspired Doctor Who Project
As a fan of Doctor Who I was intrigued that an aficionado located in England has make a fan made anime version of Doctor Who. The 11 minutes long footage done by the 32-year-old Paul “OtaKing” Johnson show us how can this project work.

Mainichi Kaasan Family
Filming is slated to begin in August, and the movie will open in Japan early next year. According to the Sankei Sports newspaper, this is the first movie (in Japan) in which a real-life divorced couple stars as a fictional married couple. (The two stars did act in separate scenes in the 2006 live-action film adaptation of Moyoco Anno's Sakuran manga.)

Gamers love anything 8-bit, due to the fact that it’s so retro. This 8-bit pixel costume is awesome.
Kiel Johnson and Klai Brown created this awesome 8-Bit costume, lovingly referred to as “Gary,” by cutting out large cube-shaped pixels out of high-density foam sheets. The pixels are attached to an articulated cardboard structure to provide wearability in all three or our dimensions. Let’s hope this 8-bit character doesn’t want to rush to the bathroom in a hurry.

During design Miami / Basel 2010, Carpenters Workshop Gallery (London) presented ‘Unbearable Lightness’ by Dutch designer Tomáš Gabzdil Libertiny of Studio Libertiny.
A real "lightsaber" on sale...
A handheld laser likened to a Star Wars lightsaber, and so powerful that it can instantly blind and "set fire to skin and other body parts" & now can be bought readily (also, inexpensively) online. The device with a beam 1,000 times stronger than sunlight on the skin is touted by makers as "the most dangerous laser ever created."
